Around the World - customizable?

Can the "Around the World" map be customized with my preferred center point and zoom level?

The default map seems to be centered roughly on central Africa - where I have never been, and cuts off a lot of Japan - where I almost always am.

Therefore, the pins for a lot of my photos are at the margins or even beyond the margins of the map.

Any way I can center the map on Asia and change the zoom level so that it encompasses only the areas where I have pins?
