This forum is getting very expensive! Not that I am contributing to that.

Thanks Ginger.
The one thing that's good though is that most of the equipment holds it value. I never had any other interests where that happened.

Thanks Ben. I have a couple shots of the Hyacinth's also. I'll post them sometime. I think they're extremely rare. They had 2 of them at the Akron Zoo. The Reds here were at the National Aviary. The had them outside in the rose garden.

Ditto on the shots. Just realized something: 500mm x 1,4 TC = 700 x 1,5 crop factor = 1050mm. ZOINKS!

I agree everyone needs one, now if someone will give me the 5 grand I'll be on my way. I'll even settle for 3 grand towards the purchase of a used 4.5 500 without IS.:D

Maybe you're right. Maybe I should get the 400 2.8 and use the 1.4 extender. Sadly the 500 is actually cheaper.:uhoh

Very true about the Hyacinth's. No longer can be purchased here unless raised by federal licensed breeder and the going rate is about 15 G's. Oh well I can dream. Gotta find one though, so I at least have an image or two. And there diet is even expense, their main diet is Palm Nuts!!!
Again doing some fine work all around :thumb
