SEARCH function + Unlisted Galleries

I'm beginning to realize that the SEARCH feature does not work when a gallery is set to unlisted.

Here are my questions if anyone can help:


Is it true that SEARCH does not work for unlisted galleries?
If true, is there a work around?
If no work around, is there an alternative solution to allowing galleries to be listed (and searchable) without showing any galleries on the homepage?Essentially what I'm trying to do is make my "homepage" just a client login page. If anyone can help and/or offer up some suggestions I would really appreciate it!

Ronnell It is true that search does not work on unlisted galleries. it is supposed to be that way and there is no workaround. If you want no galleries on your homepage, then make your galleries public (they will then be searchable) and then just turn them off with the homepage layout button so they don't appear on your homepage.
