The magnet that attracted the bluebottle also had a greenbottle, and I got nice and personal with this one.

Look at that forehead! Looks like it has been through major brain surgery!

They are somewhat bold at times and I know how close you need to get to capture it. Where you using your tripod because the slightest breath and I'm out of focus .. hehe :)

I use a tripod 99% of the time Ian.

At my age, I ain't steady enough to do hand held at such close quarters without image stabilised gear - and as you (all) know, the Siggy 105 don't do IS.
