I liked 2 better than 1. 3, 7, and 8 are good. Their pose is a little strange in 4 and does 5 need to be sharpened (could be the size)?
Out of curiosity, when you followed them around did you stick with one lens (which one?). And did you use a fill flash?

I used my 70-200 f/2.8L IS USM all day. Left my others in the bag. The 17-40 would have worked nice at the stone archway in the park though.
Posing was done with virtually no input on my part. Just trying to get the two of them interacting and not stiff static poses.
Yes I used fill flash for all my shots. #3 was inside a butterfly conservatory and I used a DIY scoop reflector on flash for that one, all others straight fill flash.

nr1 are totaly the winner for me, b&w works really good.
i love the sharp face of the child in his shades, and the dof.
only one thing that bothers me about this nice shot is the vw-logo on his cap,
man that grab attention big time...

Oh my #3 and #5, I suspect there must be too much sun or something for the child that she has her face in that expression. I looked on your journal and the baby has a sweet face but it doesn't come through on those shots. Shooting kids isn't easy, you either have to get them to give you good expression or be patient and sit and wait on your shot.
The mom and dad shots are very sweet however and #1 is the the overall best shot...I like dad's expression on his face on that one..very attentive to his little girl.
