The more pics I see of ospreys the more I think they're the neatest raptor. These are some nice shots Shaun. :thumb

Very cool. I'm always amazed at how birder shooters are able to focus so quickly on birds in-flight.

Wow, very cool pics :clap Ospreys are such beautiful birds. Kind of ungainly too, at times. But I think that adds to the beauty.

I am definitely a novice when it comes to shooting birds.

Besides AI Servo, I move the focus to the * on the back of my 40D so I can quickly aim, focus with my thumb, and shoot. This is a tip I learned from my local camera club that's greatly improved my shots. I'm probably not sharing anything new to the seasoned "birder," but it sure helped me out! :D

Great job. Love the blue sky as the background. These beat any osprey shots I have.
