Just some random shots from the last weekend with the group.
1. Los Angeles City Hall. Big roaches come out of the underground at night. Yikes.

2. View of the Cityhall from the new California Dept of Transportation office. They have metal frame like work and neon lights attached to it. It reminded us of the movie Tron.

3. Tron.

Great series!

You've got a wonderful style, interesting compositions, and great use
of backlight. I'll need to give that a try.

I like the baby walk shot the best.

The night shots are also cool. I'll have to check that out the next time
I'm in LA.

This is a really fine series Tom. Love the strong colors and interesting compositions. I particularly like #2, 4, and 6. The only minor nit is the slight leftward tilt of the verticals in #2. I always grapple with whether to straighten up things in wide angle shots. Here were it not for the flag pole being so near the right edge it would not be as evident.

Nice series overall. I particularly like the composition in #4. The long shadows and the nearly silhouetted boy really stand out for me.

Great series! The 3rd shot (Tron) is out of this world. It does remind me of the video game and movie. :D

Thanks guys, I got lucky with the 4th shot. At the right place at the right time. I sAw the shot and quickly took it. The leaf shot was mainly to check out another members Sigma 50 mm f1.4 lens. It's a nice lens.
