Thanks, Neal! You see why I don't like to travel far from home? :D

Thanks, Eia! It is an HDR image in the sense I had to blend multiple bracketed exposures. The blending was manual, however. I didn't use any HDR tools such as Photomatrix. For the most "natural" looking images that still look like photographs, manual blending is the best way to go, IMO.

Yep, I see! :)

I used to live in Colorado. I miss it very much. I've been to the Pacific NW. Everyplace has it's natural God created beauty, but there are just some places that have more of it than others! :D

(not that there's anything wrong with Virginia) :)

I have scene this many times over the years and never grow tired of it. I really like your rendition of it Mahesh. It is very nice. The colors and composition are excellent!

:rofl Virginia is a beautiful place, especially in the fall, I imagine. The next time I'm out there, I'll hit you up for some good places to shoot. :D

Thanks, Ron! You just can't take a bad picture of Mormon Row at the Tetons. God knows I've tried! :D

Beautiful composition, Mahesh. Love the lighting and the clouds. If it was my image, I'd reduce the brightness of the bushes in the foreground, especially on the lower which to my eye tend to dominate the scene. I tried it myself and thought it looked much better that way. But that's just me.

Cheers,
-joel

Thanks for the suggestion, Joel! I'll try it when I get home tonight and see how it grabs my fancy. :thumb

Very pretty! Is this an HDR? I really like the barn mountains and sky but something about the foreground is bothering me. I'm thinking maybe a little highlight recovery would help out.

Very well done mahesh. Beautiful light and lovely colors. Is that snow, water, or clouds lying between the ground and the base of the mountains?

Sounds good to me! :)

I haven't been to the Pacific NW in about 12 years. But, if I'm ever out there again I'll give you a call! :)

Thanks, Danny! I combined multiple bracketed exposures to produce this image. So it is HDR, but I didn't use any tools such as Photomatrix. I'll work on the FG and darken it a bit and see how it grabs me. :D

Thanks, Jack! You're seeing some low lying clouds/mist in the distance.

I think it's time for you to visit the Pacific NW...12 yrs is way too long! Drop me an e-mail if you come into my neck of the woods. :D

Mahesh, those pancakes are following you around! I can see them trying to keep up with you in the sky. :D

Fantastic photo with beautiful light. But then again that's obvious :thumb

Very neat! Is that a particularly famous barn (by famous I mean among photographers)? The reason I ask is that I work at a calendar company, and this picture by one of our photographers looks to be of the exact same barn. Interesting!

Thanks, schmoo! Living in Seattle, I'm use to clouds following me around where ever I go...it's a gift and a curse :D

Thanks, Dustin! Yes, indeed! This is probably the most famous barn in the history of all barns. :rofl
