Would there be an easy way to apply it to my gallery without messing my header/background colors up? It's been too long since I've delved into the code, and it's a monday so that's not helping.

Here's a sample gallery that I'd like to try it with: http://scottryanphotography.smugmug.com/gallery/7630905_7RukD

Thanks!

Changing your gallery to a different style has nothing to do with your header or background colors. It's just a different style of gallery. Did you try it and see a problem?

Or are you asking how to try it? Go to the customize gallery screen and change the style to journal.

I remembered how to change the view, but when I do that, I get a pretty narrow width instead of it filling that page up. I looked through my code, but I couldn't see where I had defined a fixed width globally, and I am set to stretchy.

edit: left it in journal mode so you could see what I mean.

I tried changing the theme (can't remember what to) and they did stretch, but it totally broke my header (among other things).

If I go to the theme drop down, I'm using my custom theme by default. Are you saying I'd have to use one of their themes to use this feature?

Ah, gotcha. Thanks! :D

Ah, gotcha. Thanks! :D FYI, the reason you can't switch themes is that you put your general purpose CSS customization into a custom theme. Most people put it into the CSS customization area in site-wide-customization, then allowing them to also make a theme selection. If you don't want to change anything, then you can wait and see if an upcoming Smugmug fix gives you stretchy journal, but I thought I'd point out that you have no done your customization in the standard way and that is limited your ability to choose a theme because when you choose a theme, all your customization disappears which is not the case if you put it into the CSS customization area.

Here's what I did with the new journal: "Big Shots" (http://www.scottryanphotography.com/gallery/8920343_xEdf2)
