guess it would help if I RTFM lol... .

I figured out how to set the ISO and the WB... that was about it though

This turned out really good for your first shot (and seeing as how you didn't RTM....lol) A little PS shadow/highlight adjustment and ol' Tubby's good ta go :thumb :thumb IMO, the exposure was just about right for his eyes :clap

Don't you love your 300, I had one until February, think I did better with it than the 20D.

You know I love my Sony cameras, but doesn't it just send a chill down your spine to type phrases like "1st pics @ ISO1600, last one @ ISO400" ? :lol3

Are these all with the kit lens? Whatever the lens, you are doing well with it :thumb

I can see your having a ball with your new camera Dani........and you've even got a beautiful model to practice on :rofl
You can only keep getting better and better Dani, so hold onto your lens cap girl cause your gonna do good :clap
