I just uploaded several videos...
here's the link to one of the galleries
http://www.onbroadwaydancers.com/gallery/8826266_uDsSf#584787490_rr7WQ
The upload log shows they are done. They show up in the gallery, but when I try to play them the time says 0:00... not video there????
Just so you know, these same videos have been loaded to my site and they work fine...

Hi Anthony,
That video had a codec/format that our system couldn't recognize.
I used the following recommended method to convert and upload the video to your gallery:
http://wiki.smugmug.net/display/SmugMug/How+to+convert+and+format+a+video+for+upload+to+Sm ugMug
It is currently processing and should be available to play there soon.
I hope this helps.

Quite odd. I reloaded the videos today to the site I was working on (they have been hosted on another SM sight for some time now) and they came thru fine...:dunno
Thanks for the effort. I was curious as to why they would not work.

One forum participant recommends checking Multipass and B-frames too. What are they and do you recommend checking these boxes?

You should ask them. Frankly I have never needed to use either of those. But I am not saying to not use them. I just have never had a need.

PhilThat would be me. It takes longer to process but produces higher quality video output.
Here is the explanation from the MPEG Streamclip Guide
2-Pass/Multipass
If the video compressor is 3ivx, or XviD, x264, or H.264, by enabling this option you can make MPEG Streamclip automatically perform two-pass encoding. For H.264, more that two passes will be performed because the compressor performs a detailed analysis of the source movie to achieve excellent encoding results at the expense of very long encoding time; it also takes some space on your destination disk.
B-Frames
This option enables B-Frames (Bidirectional Frames) when encoding with H.264 and HDV. Using B-Frames yields better quality for the same data rate, or lower data rate for the same quality. But note that the iPod does not support B-Frames.
