Just another great night of sky light. Had to share a couple more. Slight crops and minor levels adjustment only.

I really like the focus on the foreground bushes in the first. It shows the glow! the sky goes on forever in the 2nd...beautiful! We had a silver lining here in Phx. but didn't have the camera.

If I had a picture I would show you! :D As best I can explain... it is a big, puffy cloud that looks like its edges were traced with a brilliant silver marker that is quite distinctive among the surrounding clouds. I think there is a song titled that too...but the phrase is "every cloud has a silver lining" to those who have difficult times. :lust

OK. I know the saying "silver lining", but I didn't actually connect it to a particular cloud formation :doh

Lovely, Dan! The third has a really nice white tracing of clouds leading right to the setting sun. :thumb

Thanks Stephanie. I love the way you notice subtle details and then articulate them like poetry.:D :D

Great clouds for photography! My favorite of the series is the first one.

Somehow I missed this thread, but I agree that the first is awesome, fantastic use of narrow DOF on the landscape (sometimes I get like a robot when I shoot landscapes and try to have a high DOF throughout the frame without thinking what a narrow DOF would do, so good on you to spot an opportunity when a narrow DOF would improve the image).

Thanks Ron. I appreciate that compliment.

Nice set of shots, Dan. I like the DOF in #1 and that glow with the 'S' cloud in #3.
