just a few shots taken on the Farne Islands just off the North East coast of the UK.

Nikon D300 and D3, Nikon 70-200 F2.8VR and 500 F4VR

hi dan

i was mainly handholding my Nikon 500 F4VR. I occasionally switched to the 70-200 with the 1.7x teleconverter.

The terns are cool but the puffins are great! Nice action in all of the shots!

No doubt. I also want the 5DII :rofl

Two birds that I covet are loons and puffins. Your shots are fabulous.

thanks Glenn, its always great to be out shooting Puffins on the Farne Islands. From May to the end of July they bread here in a colony of about 45,000 to 70,000 strong.

loved yout tern shot by the way, superb.
