How to arrange the thumbnails in my galleries

Sorry if this has been answered, but I looked around and couldn't find anything.

1) Is it possible to arrange the thumbnails in the galleries (Smugmug view) so that instead of having 7 to a row, I only have 3 or 4 in a row?

2) Can I have a gallery description that shows up in the galleries page, but is hidden when someone is inside the gallery?

SmugMug style is designed to be stretchy. The number of thumbs that are shown on a page differs based on the size of the browser window. The largest possible photo (right-hand side) is shown, and then the number of thumbs that fit in the remaining space is determined.

Go into your gallery in smugmug style and stretch and shrink the browser window to see what happens.
