In preparation for two weddings I have lined up this weekend, I need to be inspired. I live in Maine. It's been raining here for weeks. Both weddings are outside. And, no, I'm not sure that they have a backup plan other than a pavilion or gazebo. So, I need to be inspired with some fun rain shots. So, bring 'em on! Please!

Thanks for the reminder! I had seen that one and it had escaped me. Very good for inspiration. I hope my couples are game! Otherwise it's going to be a very difficult weekend.

You as well! The first time I was worried about rain I went and bought a couple huge umbrellas. And then it was sunny. The last time I went out and bought emergency rain covers for my camera and flash. And then it was ok. Now I have to think of something else to get to try and continue the luck! :scratch

I really feel for you folks that live in rainy areas. That must really make it tough. Out here in Boise it hardly ever rains during wedding season... now I have probably jinxed myself. We are right on the edge of the desert.

I think I'd trade my Central CA 112 degree outdoor weddings for a rainy one anyday........just not 112 AND raining:D

Rainy wedding is really tough to handle.
Wedding under the rain is also a good idea but requires good health and cooperation of all.

How did it go? I lucked out for both of my weddings this week .... again (I can't believe it!!) Had some rain drops on Friday during my outdoor ceremony, but luckily people didn't panic, and run inside ... and after some minutes the rain passed again ...
Hope you were lucky too! Did you see the weather forecast for next weekend?? :help:humungus

Lucky duck!
Yesterday I was lucky. But only to a point. Instead of rain, it wound up being direct sun (awful shadows) and wicked humid. I was sweating my butt off!
Today made me glad that I bought the gear to protect my camera and flash. It wasn't downpouring the entire time. But we were running under the pavilion to get out of the rain (no walls and was jammed with 10 round tables) and then out to take more photos when the rain lightened up. Got some fun umbrella shots, I think. I'm working on download them now. Fortunately it was a very cooperative and fun couple, so they just went with it. It was sweet!
Unfortunately for me, I'm not booked for a wedding in July. :dunno So I'll only have a couple portrait sessions to fight with the weather with, but I can always reschedule if the couple doesn't like rain.
Gotta love rainy summers!:rolleyes
