It got all my attention for a few moments anyway. The hose melted/blew off when i had my back to it on the balcony (6 floors up !)

Lost some eye brows & skin turning the gas off i'll give you the drum..the flames were well up over my head & i didnt have time to get covered up. The shop put it together for me (brand new) as i was busy moving & i should have checked it but didnt.

No argument with a new one delivered.

Yep..quite the conundrum...run screaming like a banshee the other way & let the bottle blow or wager that you have time to get to it & turn it off before the big one & just lose some eye lashes.

I did remember thinking.."if this wont turn off then i hope there isnt anyone walking along the footpath 6 floors below ..":rofl

Believe me if i had the camera out i would without doubt shot a few off before the mad dash for the bottle. Man it looked impressive at night !! Sort of like a rocket launching.

No worries jamie

The 1st it is refering to the BBQ on fire with flames up over 7 feet coming from the front..rear & sides.

The 2nd it is the gas bottle that had the hose melted off & was on fire.

Still cant believe i didnt get the camera out whilst it was going :wxwax

I dunno david...a skin graft or 2 would mean some more L glass coming my way after the court case.

Geez Guz, talk about a hot head :rofl you are so dang lucky you didn't get yourself into some very serious trouble mate.
I had mains gas put onto the railing beams on the deck so I don't have to deal with Gas bottles, but alas they all have hoses that can burst.
Glad to hear your okay, I wondered where you'd been.
Burns are shocking things and so painful too, I am glad you were not seriously injured........so what ya gonna cook next on the BBQ ?? :rofl ya duffa.

The camera was not OUT? That was the beginning of the whole fiasco. Though I do like the idea of new L Glass. For that to happen, you have to work at dr appts, suffering, etc, until AFTER court case.

However, if your camera is not OUT, first and foremost in importance, the glass will not be important, also will not blow up along with everything else.

I would have run screaming like a banshee, someone else could have photographed that.

Why is this in this thread?

Sounds like quite an EVENT to me.

ginger

If you had worked it right could have gone KPOTD, probably not.......suffering is probably not big there. (A big smile with flames behind, that would have helped.) I cannot believe that a camera was not a first consideration.

(I actually have no idea of what happened, except that Humungus had a "flame out", decided to be a hero, lost some hair, hahaha, doing it, and there was no camera around. With amicable settlement and all, i doubt the possibility of a court case.)

Sorry, gus....... glad we don't have to mess with dead bodies or anything, though. Thanks. g again.........

I'm assuming this was a barbecue? Nasty suckers....
