Andy,

I currently have a slideshow on my homepage. If I choose to keep the slideshow and want to put up a slideshow of various pictures, can I link an unpublished gallery to the homepage slideshow?

Yes you can. Thats how mine is setup. I have a set gallery that I use. I just drop them in and sort them as I want them to show
