I am importing images to my galleries via Lightroom. I specify dimensions of 630-675 pixels on the long side, depending on the image. This works well for horizontal images however vertical images are never larger than 600 pixels on the long side when viewed. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance for your response.

I just tried uploading a vertical image that was not resized and got the same thing, it was displayed at 600 pixels on the long side.

Hi, these are all the display copy sizes we make.

we'll show the one that fits your browser window size, best.

Thanks, Andy.

I have a tiny 19 inch monitor and haven't had a chance to view the images on a larger monitor. Sounds like the larger size I specify in Lightroom may be shown on those monitors. I'll make it a point to check it out.

In response to your earlier question as to why I resize I do so because I don't want access to hi-rez files on my site. The purpose of my website is to display images for potential stock usage, no prints. I enable right-clicking for comp purposes and because I do so I feel it necessary to display only low-rez images. Industry standard preview sizes are 700-900 pixels on the long side so I'm in the ballpark anyway. Besides, much quicker uploading with the smaller sizes.
