Ok, so here is the situation. I am using the Simple Mug Facebook app, which works great and has been really helping to drive traffic to my site! The problem is that it does not work with passworded galleries, sO i ahve been having to use unlisted galleries instead. (Many of the galleries I post are of functions with kids and things that I do not want open to the general public) This makes it difficult then for people to get to the images if they don't use facebook.

What I would like to do is require a password if someone is coming to the gallery from my regular smugmug site, but not if they are coming to that specific gallery by clicking a link in Simple Mug.

Any ideas on how this could be accomplished?

Thank you!

Two copies of the gallery. One that's unlisted that you use on Facebook, the other one that's public and password protected. I don't think there's any other way to do it.

Argh, I hate to duplicate so much stuff. But as it stands right now I guess there really aren't any options.

Is there any easy way to create a duplicate of a gallery?

Thanks jfriend!

Thanks jfriend! Only two options I know of:

1) Make 2nd copy on every image in the gallery. Then move the copies to a new gallery.

2) Re-upload to a new gallery.

I find re-uploading is much easier. I just set up a giant upload with StarExplorer (lets me do multiple galleries at once) and let it go overnight.
