Smallest ring ever....

castle, limousine. They spent a lot of money but not on the ring, maybe it was an heirloom it did not look new, no bigee I guess.
Fun couple and great fun crowd.
I tried some new processing on this wedding, brighter and more dynamic.
Would like to know if anyone notices the difference.

Hi Ma-Foto,
Between my day job and my photo business I have been working 70 to 90 hours a week since May with no end in sight until November.
Being to busy is a good problem to have I guess.
To be honest with you the thought of spending another half hour on the computer resizing photos then loading and reloading them for viewing here makes me cringe.

I like to participate in the forum however so for the busy season I am afraid the links are the best I can do.

I appreciate the people who make the effort to click the button to view the pictures but realize for a lot of folks that is a click to far.

generally nice pp. vignettes are a little strong - but not me either.

I love #6 and #35--and I can tell a difference--the photos do look sharper. Very nice set!

I was one of those "not a big ring" brides. :) The first ring I picked out, my husband said "NO! You have to pick out one that at least costs more!" lol It was only like $300, but I really liked it!!!! lol We ended up with one that looked totally different, but I love it just as much!

Beautiful photos like always, but I have a question for you, Zoomer. I have noticed that your galleries seem to be set to random. (Or is it just me?) Do you find that it helps print sales or something to do them that way? It does make it seem like there is more variety, but I have seen some of your e-sessions where similar poses/ locations are shown later. Just curious on your reasoning with that.

As a general rule, I attempt to set mine sequentially with time taken..... (Helps my brain line up or something)

Also, what are your settings on the ring photos. I really appreciated your dof. :lust

Thanks for having a look and appreciate your comment.
I frontload the gallery with my favorites as I also keep the galleries public for my own advertising purposes.

I try to make each photo a stand alone piece of art and I like them to be viewed that way.....one picture at a time. For people who know the family I imagine they would skip through the gallery looking for a certain spot or time in the day. I want them to have to look at all the pictures.

I get appx. 140,000 hits a month on my galleries so the vast majority of people viewing the photos have no idea who these people are, they are just looking at the pictures. According to the the hit counts on the galleries the first 10-20 photos get A LOT more looks than the last 10-20. So I think people skip through the galleries looking at the first 10-20 pics of each gallery. So I put all my favorites first in the galleries.

It is kind of weird that no customer has ever asked me why I do not put the galleries in order. I hardly sell any prints from the galleries, one here and there.

Ring photos I use a Sigma 150mm macro lens. I steal the couples rings while they are eating so I typically shoot just the rings for 30 minutes or so.
Depth of field with macro lenses is very thin so I use F14-16. Beyond that you start to get less sharp.
