I'd planned to meet some friends at the park for a bite to eat (see, it IS about
the food) but unfortunately, it wasn't to be. The deer is DOA, the bike toast
and he's fine.

I did get to Glacier Point though not in the best light.

My transport for the day was the mighty GS.

The water is still moving but the park is saturated with visitors now.
Traffic is horrific on the weekends. If you do go, do it on a week day :D

I wish that I had been able to arrive earlier. I'm guessing 6/6:30 would be
about the right time to arrive for some beauty shots.

That would have been nice, but if you had to leave that early it might have been you that danced with the deer :uhoh Especially if you made it up there in 2.5 hours :rofl Too bad it was so crowded. If I remember what you told us, it took you almost that long to get into the valley :rolleyes

Yosemite in any light is awesome. Nice shots :thumb:thumb

Beautiful Ian! I was there when you were!! Glacier point is awesome isn't it!
I just posted some of mine in Nature, I got some rockclimbers on El Capitan. Wow, what a 4 day trip! I needed another day or two! Hadn't been there in 28 years. Great week up there eh? I think 3 or 4 of us from here were there.

Sunday was a great day! Though I only spent a few hours in the park :D

This season has been a beautiful season for flowers and falls. That's for sure.

Hopefully, Tioga will open soon...

There's a campground up there as well. Though it still looks closed--that'd
be the bee's knees as it's just a few miles from the point.

I mentioned to Ed that Sentinel Dome was another favorite stop. With the
bike, parking is easy and the hike to the top of the dome about a mile or so.
The lone tree atop the dome has fallen over :cry To me, it symbolizes nature
of survival. This was taken in 2001.
