Neat idea, I like the first one and also your title.
The only nit I have is the one on left in front being out of focus. It might be ok though. Just a thought.
That black bg really makes them stand out. Nice work.

That is what I meant, but you got a little too dark with them.. They need to contrast with the black... they need vibrancy.

#1 is awesome... love the shallow DOF. This is a great idea. Well executed too. I'm with cat... just a bit more punch from the first. The edit I think you went a little to far with the vibrancy though. Step it back a bit.
