I remember this from the original series you posted - ferry trip in Greece.
It's novel, and the eye is a sucker for novelty. It's dramatic, and we love movies and the news. In short it has appeal - momentary or lasting, that is the question.
I dislike the muddy color in it. I could be reminded of a rather big sewage problem. But it could more attractively be a crystal snowtopped mountain. It also has something of the look of stained glass, but stained literally.
Since you have gone so far with it, what do you think about using other cross processing options, or other color change methods, to try to lose the brown.
You could also use this as an element in a composition, repeating it, mirroring it, etc - building up a canvas.

This has minimal post processing as it was greatly underexposed and backlit, except contrast increase and a little burn, and I'm not really interested in a heavily photoshopped canvas but thanks for looking. Huh, doesn't remind me of sewage either but such is life ... snow capped mountains and piles of ____ .

Hi Tom I always love seeing your work. :D
I didn't even think of sewage until I read the above comment. My first thought was the drama and energy of the ocean, exemplified by the tack-sharp detail and the beautiful jewel colors of the water. :thumb
I love how your shots always have that dark moody feel to them, and this definitely meets that criteria.
My only complaint is the completely black area on the right side. I think centering the wave was definitely a great way to go, but why is the sky almost entirely missing from this area? Is this a vignette that was added in post?
