Came across this operating railroad down in Connecticut the other day. #1 and #3 somewhat more surreal than my usual HDR (what do you think?)
C&C much appreciated.

Hey Jack,
This is some really good stuff. Great subject rendered very well. Your HDR skills are geting right up there.
Take it easy,

3's a little too surreal for my taste, but I still like them all. Great shooting!

Howdy John,
WOWSER, you've really out done yourself on these images, and like Tom said really a neat subject but your composition and HDR work really makes it!!
Very nicely done, your last several sets of images have really popped with creativity and subject matter!!!

Thanks Tom
It seems to be a double edged sword as now I tend to shoot multiple exposures of almost everything which leads to a whole lot more work :dunno

Jack,
I love steam locomotives and HDR, so to me, you've got a winning combo :thumb
I know that I'm different than most, but I usually prefer "over-cooked" HDR images. I see "normal" all day, every day. I like something that entices my eyes for a longer visit every once in awhile.

Great subject for the "overcooked" look. Nice work!

Thanks Azzaro. I don't usually like the over cooked look but it seems to bring out the grunge in old rusted hulks and such (even if they've been painted over).

Great HDR work.
2 & 3 are cropped in a way that I don't feel comfortable with...
1 is great apart from the tip of the engine that is cut :rolleyes

Thanks so much for those nice words. I guess it's true that even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes. I was looking for a blushing smiley but couldn't find one :D
