This is what I've been looking for. I truly now have SmugMug in my pocket. Well worth the $2.99

One option I'd like to see added. I like the way SmugWallet does away with the "rotatable photos". It show all the photos full screen. You don't have to rotate the phone and wait for the photo to rotate. Would love to have that option added to blossom.

With Blossom and SmugWallet -- my smugmug world is near complete. Just need the FaceBook integration.

So yeah... My experience isn't so great...

I can not get photos to load in Blossom. I get a whole bunch of Flowers in gallery view, and a flower that turns to a blank screen in the picture view...

For $3? All it effectively does is give me a gallery list... :dunno

Thanks for the initial post on this! I just got an iPhone for the specific purpose of being able to show off some images on the go. I was planning to load samples of my work on it, but this app is great! I just downloaded the app a few minutes ago and it's great to have access to all my galleries.

i just downloaded today. i'm having the same issue that Beline has stated. i have version 1.3, do i need to change an option on SmugMug for the photos to get displayed?

The newest version of Blossom 1.4 is now available in iTunes.

This version adds support for uploading your SmugMug photos to Facebook, complete playback control over all your videos, the option to email any of your SmugMug photos from within the app and much more.

The change to nice names seems to have disabled sending links to your photos from the Blossom iPhone app since it uses the old format. Just noticed some of the links I've posted now go to blank pages instead of the images. Yes, the new names are more user friendly but not if older links are suddenly all broken?

Anyone else having problems with links no longer working?

Edit: Blossom just updated to a new version as well so I contacted them too. Either way, I hope this is resolved quickly.

The twitter functionality is still down but the developer has been made aware by quite a few of us. ;) Just wanted to add that if you upload video to SmugMug it's viewable through this app which I love!

So that I get this right, it is a 'live' browser of your smugmug site and does not save to your iphone unless you choose to save the file? In other words, I could not get on a plane and view my galleries using this app, (unless I had downloaded and saved to my iphone) - which also means that unless I download all my photos I have no iPhone sync delays?

That is how I understand it. I own both Blossom and SmugWallet. I enjoy SmugWallet a bit more because it's no waiting once synced and cached, with full offline capability so I never worry about the presence or speed of available Internet. Blossom is good when I want to show a gallery that I haven't gotten around to syncing into SmugWallet yet, but image loading always depends on the network.

I have to say the grid of the same old pink blossom proxy does get really tiring after a while. Wish there was an option for what image or icon to use as the loading proxy.

Does anyone know if the new iPad will be able to use the Blossom app to show our smug galleries? Or will there be a different app available?

I can't tell you the number of times I've pulled out my iPhone to show someone something from one of my online galleries. So I'm hoping the iPad will be able to do this too?

Can I ask what's the current status of the Blossom iPhone app? I saw different prices being mentioned in this forum at one time or another: free (as a promotion and via promo codes), $0.99, and finally $2.99. But it's currently listed in the app store for considerably more at $9.99?

I also noticed that the author has not posted here since last year, but the app itself seems to still be updated (current version is v1.7 from Aug 28, 2010, updated for the iPhone 4's Retina Display).

Lastly, I'm concerned that the iTunes app store reviews of the current version mention loss of the video playback function (a function which was previously promoted (http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=137616) here). Can anyone confirm if this is true?

Old thread update: looks like the Blossom app for the iPhone is no longer available at the app store, and the kupuk.com domain has been vacated.

I need a good iPhone app to show public galleries without logging in, and which can also play video. Neither Blossom nor SmugShow currently play video.

Is there any chance that SmugMug will make their own iPhone app, or turn their existing iPad app into a universal one? While not bug-free, it has the right mix of features for me:

- can show one or multiple accounts, either public-only or with password login
- can display photos online or selectively download them for offline viewing
- can play video
- can zoom in
- fetches sharp/hi-resolution version of the photos (which some apps don't seem to do)

Great news, thanks! I just read from another thread that SmugShot is also being updated. Do you plan to make both as universal applications, or perhaps even combine them into one app for viewing *and* uploading? Can't wait!
