I did a couple of quick searches for similar threads and didn't find anything so I thought I would start my own.
Stumbled across this on another forum and thought some might be interested.
ACDSee Pro Photo Manager 3 beta is available here ("http://www.acdsee.com/offers/probeta), free for the asking.
Anyone got any opinions on this software? The descriptions on the page indicate that this is a direct competitor to Lightroom. Once I get my machine stabalized (this weekend :dunno) I'm probably going to see how it feels.
