Need Help!

I just started working with photoshop a few weeks ago (to much frustration:huh ) and have been trying to get familiar with a specific technique that I have not been able to get a close match. I'm trying to get post processing close to the images in challenge #24 the emulation challenge. All the expermenting and reading of tutorials I'm doing seem to be dead ends. :scratch Here is my best result so far and I not to jazzed about it. Any tips and I'll be your friend for life!!

Who or what style are you trying to emulate??
That might help those that peek in here without try to speculate on what the style or who the artist is...................

He was specifically emulating the style of Andrzej Dragan, as I recall. Google that name and you'll find loads of tutorials and articles.
