this overcast california june gloom is getting me (and my shots) down. ...(see: major depressive disorder with seasonal modifyer)

checked out a great site for birding with a few lads from the dgrin crew yesterday and all my shots are gloomish, so i let some of the backgrounds go to all white.

these two terns were fighting over one fish. i call it "as the world terns"

this dude scored (with a blue sky behind him, i might have too)

http://lapiz007.smugmug.com/photos/24926987-L.jpg

hope this little guy is worth a third lookhttp://dgrin.com/images/smilies/ne_nau.gif as everyone and their brother seem to have a pic of himhttp://dgrin.com/images/smilies/headscratch.gif

http://lapiz007.smugmug.com/photos/24926986-L.jpg
bout as close to a raptor as i may ever comehttp://dgrin.com/images/smilies/umph.gif

http://lapiz007.smugmug.com/photos/24926993-S.jpg

i call this one, "egret and night heron share dirty, and somewhat suspicious water"

http://lapiz007.smugmug.com/photos/24926998-L.jpg

one of my first night heron shots... (just a few more..bare with me here)

http://lapiz007.smugmug.com/photos/24926995-L.jpg

and now, my speciality: the slightly OOF, partially blown, somewhat noisey, egret in flight!

thanks for viewing, and please take my commentary lightly. this is what happens to me when i sit in front of a computer for 8 hours taking practice exams.http://dgrin.com/images/smilies/uhoh2.gif

Excellent shots Jeff. You did very well considering you had the other Jeff and en with you. You were wroking with a major handicap. :rofl

I missed this post before! There is a shot of one of you: which one? I seem to be dense this AM. May be all those days in the southeast heat.

I love the shoe shot.

Also, love the "everything wrong about it bird shot".:D My kind of shooting!

thanks for stopping by ginger! unfortunately, the shot is of me trying to do 2 things at once: 1. jump my way out of the deep mud i foolishly wandered into and 2. hide behind a bush from jeffW and Ben who started shooting at me.

i'm pretty upset about that picture they posted of mehttp://dgrin.com/images/smilies/kali.gif
if anyone from Milan sees it my modeling career is overhttp://dgrin.com/images/smilies/yelrotflmao.gif
