anaheim Hills, Weir Canyon Wilderness trail, Raptors, rattlesnakes, mtn. lions, coyotes etc. lets plan a trip there. Very hot though, I was there at the

your mystery bird be a white tailed kite.

Not exactly widespread throughout the US.... nice find :thumb

At least it wasn't a stinking skunk this time. :D

Good captures. the last one looks like a shallow-tailed kite.

Good ones Ben :thumb :thumb

I agree with Harry and Dani that's some sort of Kite. As Dani points out, they are pretty rare and really tough to nail in flight. I also agree that getting bird shots is much nicer (and safer) than getting skunked....LOL

It is quiet rugged around, kinda wierd though all around are big $$$ homes/estates actually.
Lots of up and down hill climbs, but think it's worth it to get what we like to shot, wildlife and lots of it. Saw numerous signs of larger cats too :thumb
Right now though it's real hot when clouds burn off about 10am. Biting flies, ticks are next problem there. Found a couple of those buggers on me today. Just on my clothes no bites, whew
:rolleyes
