First time shooting seniors

1. I will never again try to blow out the green background again with a flash. I had a green color cast with a green edge all around him that I had to meticulously take off!

I think in general you've done EXTREMELY well....first time or not.

The posing all appears very relaxed, and he seems very comfortable in his own skin and in front of the camera. Youve captured oodles of personality here.

As I first scrolled through them I was thinking that the processing was VERY well done, and perfect for the subject and envioronment.....well until I got to #3. There, Id lose the ragged frame. You have it framed in what appears to be a 3:2 ratio anyways, and you should be offering this in a 5x7(please say that there is enough in the original framing of the last shot for a 5x7?) or wallet of that same ratio. I really think your processing is too good to be cheapened by the use of the frame.

In #2, it appears you did some blurring on his hands and leg in post. Id do away with that...it doesnt look natural. If you feel it HAS to have something done to draw the eye more to his face just use some slight vignetting to draw the eye with light rather than adding the blurring.

A really nice set though.....you should both be very pleased.

Wow that was fast. Thanx. I appreciate your comment. I really like your style and am learning from just looking at your pictures.

And yes, I do have more on that #3. I did the borders like that just for more funk. I will re-work that and also re-work the #2.

This is an awesome set of shots! Especially if it's your first senior shoot! He looks so comfortable in every shot. The poses and processing are great. I'm not too keen on the white border, but the shot itself is good. I reallllly like the car shots, with #4 being my favorite. He should be stoked with these. :thumb
