Never heard of it until tonight.

Digiscoping (http://www.digiscoping.co.uk/) is combining your camera and a telescope to shoot wildlife - mostly birds, from what I can see.

Nikon introduces the Digiscoping System - Fieldscope Digital SLR Camera Attachment FSA-L1, Fieldscope Digital Camera Bracket FSB-1, and Wide DS Fieldscope Eyepieces

Sounds cool - Birders have been digiscoping with P&S cameras - frequently CoolPixes, and spotting scopes for several years. Try googling digiscope and you will find lots and lots of links.

I'll have to buy an FSA-3 for my CoolPix and give it a try now :1drink

ScopeTronix (http://www.scopetronix.com/) also sells adapters for telescopes.

I have a T-ring mount and an eyepiece thread on.

Can't say I've ever used the scope as a lens for anything other than the moon
or stars though.
