'Teva Hadvarim', Israeli Magazine for Research of Man and His Enviornment, June 2005 - "Harnessed to His Carriage, To Sir Moses Monefiorie's Neighborhood Mishkanot Shaananim"

This one is a historic type of article based on the diaries of Lady Judith and Sir Moses Montefiorie published by his secretary, Dr. L. Loewe in Chicago, 1890.

The neighborhood of Mishkanot Shaananim in Jerusalem today is full of artist studios, a music hall and high class tenants. The land was purchased about 130 years ago by the British Sir Moses Monefiorie from the former Turkish Governor of Jerusalem for establishing the first Jewish neighborhood in Jerusalem, outside the walls of the Old City.

Thanks again guys!

This is actually the 3rd article I've done for Teva Hadvarim in the last 8 months or so. It started when I sent them photos for evaluation of my trip to Poland. They wouldn't accept 'just photos' and wanted a full article. So I gave it a try. It seems to have worked out and I have a very good relationship with the co-editor. But writing an article is a lot of work and definetely not worth it money wise. Although it's nice to see your name on a serious article in a locally very appreciated magazine with a lot of photos and professional graphic design. I have two more ideas I want to try and then maybe "retire", at least from this type of publication.

Many thanks!
