Just today started for the first time to Shoot in RAW.

Can I just import my Memory card into my Laptop like I have done with my cards when I shot Jpgs?

I shot in RAW + Jpg mode..
Also once the raw files are uploaded do I just open PS2 and just view them? Do I have to do anything special to view RAW images in PS2 or does PS 2 open the RAW automatically?

Thanks in advance for all your tips.

Jeff

CS2 ACR will open 20D files, so you should be fine.

If you had a 40D or a 50D, not so much. You would need a newer version of ACR which is only available with CS3 ( for the 40D) and CS4 or LR2 for the 50D.

How does this work?
Do I see both a jpg and raw file for each image shot?

The jpgs you will see with any jpg viewer including Bridge that comes with CS2.

To see RAW files requires a version of ACR that supports that camera. Cameras introduced after CS2 was out, are not able to have their RAW files viewed or processed without the appropriate version of ACR. You can convert RAW files to DNGs and open these in ACR that comes with CS2.

20D RAW files are supported in the ACR that comes with CS2, so no problem.
