Took this at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle on my first day shooting with the 350D. I just love the look on his face and the intensity in the eyes.

Hey Ben,
Good capture. :thumb Its well composed and you caught him with an interesting expression and pose. It looks a tad soft though. I might have upped the ISO a bit to get a higher shutter speed.

Thanks Harry. Actually, I think it's soft because I was shooting through messy glass and also it's heavily cropped. There was a window frame to his immediate left that I really needed to get rid of, so this comes from about 1/4 of the original image. I tried some more intense USM, but ultimately wasn't happy going beyond where I ended up.
Thanks,
Ben

Oh, that messy zoo glass, know it well. I started to bring some window cleaner with me when I went to the Bronx Zoo towards the end of my NYC stay. When no one was looking I would give the window a quick cleaning. :D
