However the error that is coming up is somewhat disconcerting:
Internal Server Error - Read

There is usually an explanation page. Today. Nothing! That is the problem.

Problem is that it just shows some crazy server error instead of a message. Not very professional and they have done this before many times. It can be redirected to a message.:rolleyes Not to mention that it has been going down the last few months a lot and everytime I'm in the middle of an upload....

I assume they're reconfiguring Apache. Sometimes it's not always easy to redirect to a nice error message. Personally, I'd rather strange apache error's and get SM up sooner vs. pretty errors and have it take longer.
Just my opinion though.

Even though we may know about the service it is still scary to see the

It is the first time in over two years I have ever seen any thing like this.

You do enough apache work, you'll see it. It's no big deal. It means something is broken, but, that's kinda by design... Like when you get your car fixed; you need to take it apart to fix it. Technically it's "broken"--but, it's necessary to break it to fix it.

Sorry, I don't have these issues with any other site I use.

The ops guys have been replacing some load balancers that's why the usual screens wouldn't have been accessible.

No, thank-you for your hard work and dedication. I realize how much you guys work at this and I am thankful that there is a team out there doing the hard work for me. The work that my brain can't even begin to wrap around.
I appreciate the time it takes you all to do maintenance and I realize that these down times only result in a greater product...I only wish others could see that. I promise I will work around scheduled maintenance, if in return I see changes...which have absolutely been made.
Kudos..and if there are other talking about how the other sites are better, then they probably settle for less. Good riddance to them, they surely have no need for such a superior product anyway.
oh if only one could see how much traffic SM sees in one day..and how many noobs they are just as patient with the first question as they are with the last one.
THanks again super heros...you truly live up to your name!
