Okay, I just signed up for the Pro free 14 day trial. It is only $50 more a year then my current hosting plan and "I" have to do it all. This site is great. I am only hoping the customization is easy to make my site "pop".
During this 14 day trial, am I able to build/customize this site fully or am I limited based on 14 day trial?
I want to get my name at top, make image, and get tabs for home, bio, gallery, blog. I also want to get my Blogger blog implemented.
Please let me know so I know to play around more or wait unitl I play.
Great site.
Thanks.

Yes, you can use all Pro features (including customisation) during your free trial.
I suggest that you either start with the "Easy Customizer" (in your control panel), or that you follow some of the tutorials linked in the "CUSTOMIZATION: Start Here" post at

Great, thanks.
I played around with it a little.
I however am not sure what steps I take to set up my bio, and such so it goes to a page created within SmugMug telling everyone about me.
I also am not sure how to get rid of Edward Swartz's Home below the menu on the main page of http://edwardswartz.smugmug.com
I have looked everywhere on settings/control panel.
Sorry, but just signed up yesterday. Thanks.

Add this to your CSS to get rid of Edward Swartz's Home:
#userName,
#userHome {
display: none;
}
For a bio page, take a look at Allen's tutorial at http://allen-steve.smugmug.com/gallery/3819841.

There are two relatively easy ways to set up the "core" of an "About me" page, which you can then customise the look and feel of in your customisation:
1) If you want a fairly large photo on one size of the page, then you could upload that photo to a gallery by itself, and change the gallery customisation to force it into "journal" style. You could then enter the text of the page in the caption of that photo.
2) If you want complete control over the page, then you can paste the details into the description of a gallery, and use css to hide the "this gallery has no photos" message. (This is what is known as an "html-only" page.)
In both cases, if you want to enter raw html, as opposed to text, then you need to surround your entry with <html> </html> tags.

Good fast info. In looking at your site, I too have a blog through Blogger. How do you get your blog to come up but still have the menu bar from SmugMug at the ope? I got the link right but it then you have to hit "back" to get back to SmugMug.
Thanks.

I posted notes on how to match your blogger blog to your smug site. Here's a link to the thread - HOW TO match your blog to your smug site (blogger-specific) (http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=101262). Please post in that thread if you need help with matching your sites.

Yeah, I found that after this post. My apologies. I have posted there since I am not getting my total desired effect of the menu appearing. Thanks.

Ok, all day, I mess with implanting Blog into site, other pages, etc. Now, when I change my them to the default one I made for a black background, my menu links, home, bio, portfolio, blog and contact all show underlines under them. It is annoying because my blog doesn't do that. I have Google searched for the answer, but not sure what is going on. Any suggestions on how to get it back to just being a white link, no color change once clicked, no underline.
Maybe I need to add something to the CSS section?
Other then this recent "change", great site and great forums. It is nice having to know some html, but not when it ties you up all da.
Take a peek at the menu properties.
