For those of you that frequented the DPR Samples and Galleries Forum, or Pbase's most popular galleries, you will be saddened to hear of the passing of Francis Toussaint :cry
Not only was he an amazingly talented photographer, he was a super human being. Always helpful and always ready to motivate photographers with lesser skills to achieve their best. I've had his galleries bookmarked for the last 3 years and wondered why I hadn't seen any new works posted. Now I understand.
His galleries are huge, but if you find some free time I'm sure you'll come away with the same sense of admiration and awe as I do everytime I visit them.

The first page blew me away!
So many people dying, it seems.
sad, we may just be more aware with our shrinking world, technical skills at access to news.
thanks for sharing the news, and the opportunity to see that gallery.

Thanks Steve for bringing this to our attention. I just took a peek at some of the galleries and was awed by many of the shots. Truely a talented artist. Sad that he cannot be with us now, but we do have his legacy, even for awhile in his photos. I've put him on my favorites and will spend more time looking when I make the time.
Thanks again for the sad news:cry,
Chris

You know Steve, as sad as it is at the loss of a life, I like to look at the brighter side........at how so often once a person has died is their life revealed......I did not know Francis, but thanks to you, I have been over to his Album and looked at his beautiful works of Art.
I think it is just wonderful how someone can share their life in pictures,
Francis's work is just STUNNING, what a wonderful gift he had, and even in death his work lives on, I am sure he will be greatly missed by all who knew him ......... thank you Steve for your caring Spirit.
