An example of what can happen when big trucks drive on the wrong side of the road :lol

It could have been worse. That truck could have been carrying Cherry Ripes :eat .....lol "Danger, slippery when Ripe" :lol3

Don't ever, ever post a link like that again!!!!! I felt a chill go up my spine and tears started to well up in my eyes.

Time for a cold one.

OMG the horor. Gus man I am going to have nightmares for weeks now. I think I need to call my friends and go out tonight just to make sure there isn't a beer shortage going on over here now.

Looks to me that many of them are still drinkable. Time for a party.

Last summer one of the local beer delivery trucks left one of his bay doors open as he pulled away from his stop. He made a pretty sharp turn and a whole pallet (132 cases) fell out. You should have seen the madness, him trying to get it back in the truck and all the passerbys trying to get it in their trucks:rofl Just one more blown photo opp by leaving the camera at home.

Off topic as usual....... a friend of mine was in the merchant navy. He told me that on one voyage the ships doctor was an alcoholic. Every day the doctor would appear on deck eating oranges. By the end of the day the doctor would be roaring drunk but none saw him with a drink or a bottle in his hand??

Eventually the doctor confessed that he injected his daily ration of oranges with gin and vodka... a home made fruit cocktail.

This is truly a sad day :cry

Let us remove our hats and raise our glasses in honor of these fallen 'soldiers'.

My heartfelt condolances to Grolsch drinkers, but especially to those fine citizens of the Netherlands who produce this wonderful premium beer.

It's a good thing I don't drink beer, or I'd be truly horrified.

All those broken bottles and smashed cases don't look too different than what some areas around here look like the first couple of days after the teens get out of school for summer break.

For a moment there I thought it might have been BECKS :uhoh ....oh well back to work :rofl
You dissing our beer, mate? :wxwax This beer comes from a little town in the east of The Netherlands (Groenlo) that, unlike Heineken which is a regular not too likeable beer over here, is considered premium beer. I felt soo sorry for this loss. Life just ain't the same.

I honestly haven't drank a beer (much less a Becks) in a very long time. My post was what is referred to as a *wise-crack*. A wise-crack usually is an attempt to be funny at the expense of another, and well, it just isn't very nice :uhoh

I meant no offense to *your beer* (and a fine beer it is), and in further admission of guilt, I initially mistook the 'Grolsch' label for a cheap American beer with a similar design. :rolleyes

Upon discovery that it was a Grolsch-related tragedy I immediately determined to remove my initial post and replace it with a more suitable one.

btw-I have never really cared for the taste of Heineken, although I have put away a few.

How I hate the internet at times. It appears to me that my tongue-in-cheek message was taken a bit serious by you. Don't take too much I say seriously. My wife doesn't, so I wouldn't know why you would.

BTW: I just love the changes in your post. My heart felt warmed, knowing that I have a new friend out there, who is concerned about my well being.

:rofl
