Welcome to dgrin :thumb

WOW...how did that big thing get there? I hear the wind will roll/push smaller rocks, but that thing is huge :D

Welcome!

Nice pic! I like the pano look. I suspect the rock is smaller and closer than the picture portrays. But nicely done. If it really is that big, you have to tell us! :huh

I've read that flood waters in the spring cause much of the movement. Of course the flood is only an inch deep or so. There's a video online I've seen that sort of illustrates. Next time I'm in that part of the country, I want to take a trip to the the "Race Track". :D

Did you consider a little straightening? I took another look, I think its the sand line or am I misreading it.

Welcome aboard

Is there really still snow in the hills above the Racetrack? When were you there?

Hi and thank all of you for your comments, the rock just look big but is probably around 60/70lb, the theory is that the rocks moves when is wet and muddy by the wind but as not yet proven as far as I know.
I was there in December 07 and i had just bought my first semipro camera nikon d80 I'm only editing with picasa3, any way here is a pic with me for better referencehttp://mboccia.smugmug.com/photos/535330637_3hyaH-L.jpg

Just amazing how this happens :scratch

Thank you for sharing the size of this rock. 60-70lbs is not a real small
rock :D
