View Full Version : Mostly Flash Homepage, or...?

I have my homepage nicely designed (minus the menus) and am wondering what the best way is to incorporate it into the SmugMug system. At this point it's all Flash although I've yet to optimize it and decide if I need a preloader or not. Should I put it in the custom header section or elsewhere?

Another thought was to have the homepage be on my server but then have a menubar at the bottom which would direct viewers to my relevant SmugMug site pages.

You need to host the flash somewhere. Once you do that, you can put the embed code inside the Bio section on your homepage, surrounded by
<html> </html> tags

Do not put it in your custom header because that is loaded into the browser in every page on your site even if you use CSS to hide it on other pages. As PBolchover said, it should go in your Bio section as that is only loaded on your homepage and is customizable.

I'll look into the bio section.
How do I stop the header (seen on all the pages) from being seen on the homepage (bio)?
BTW, did the slideshow work on your systems?
