I even got to listen to the indigo buntings heartbeat! 600 beats a minute, sounded like a little jet engine!

Female Cardinal - He showed us her brooding patch and said she had 2 eggs that she would lay in the next couple of days.

It was at Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge. We have second saturday programs there very month and bird banding was todays. Dr. Doug Woods from Southeastern Oklahoma State University did the demonstration.
We almost got rained out! 3 severe storms with hail came through last night, like we need anymore rain. The refuge is mostly underwater now as it is.
