I'm going to be completely honest and say that I felt a little invisible when I first joined this community and shyed away from it. So I'm trying again ...

This is a shot of my step-daughter taken this past weekend with my Olympus IS-50 and a roll of Black and white film:

Moonjuice,

Don't be shy. A lot of us are beginers and the only critique given is usually very constructive. I have yet to see any serious flaming. Now if you are interested in flaming, there'a a place called Jo momma.....

It's not for the faint of heart!

BTW, very nice image.

Nah, not really interested in flaming. I just thrive on feedback. Honest feedback, but feedback none the less. I guess when I didn't get any I felt a little un-welcome. Anyway, enough of my oversensitivity ;)

And thank you very much!

Thank you.

It was the first time I'd shot with black and white film in years and I was pretty nervous about them turning out. I ended up being completely thrilled with the entire roll.

Thank you.

It helps having such a good subject. She's extremely photogenic, a natural in front of the camera. It doesn't hurt that she's a total ham too :)

Beautiful girl and a nice pose. I like how you softened it. Perhaps crop to remove some headroom? :dunno I wonder what the experts think?

Beautiful shot, nice composition, great expression, the exposer looks very good. It's one to be proud of.

As far as feedback sometimes its funny what slides by almost without notice.

I posted these a week ago and didnt recieve a single comment, others recieve a comment right away, I have looked back at posts a few days old and found great stuff that no one commented on.

This post by andy had slipped off the first page without comment. I thought it deserved some discussion so I posted to bump it back up.

The people here are all friendly, helpful, and talanted. Stick around and you will become an addict like me. I read every post every day.

Glad to have you here as well, keep posting great stuff like this, we all love to see it.
