well it most definitely isnt a 1D, as in Digital. This is a film camera, and an early version of the Rebel film cameras. Never seen a "II" on these before. Later versions of the Rebels carried G, K, X, Xs, and 2000 designations.
Mod, pls move to Cameras

Rather than a 1d MkII it looks as though you have a Rebel II 35mm film camera with a nice lens on it. This was a poular beginner's 35mm in the early 1990's. Check that the battery has not corroded, and you should be good to go.

Thank you guys for the id I really appreciate this big time.
Bob, The battery was taken out when my mom quit the biz a very long time ago do to raising us kids. But this battery only been in here for a year and the contacts are not corroded. By the way I purchased that lens in Florida about the time my mom gave me her camera gear.
Thanks a bunch guys.

Is this the same camera you're asking about in this thread? - http://dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=129516
The link I posted - http://photonotes.org/manuals/eos-rebel-s-ii/
has an unoffical manual for the Rebel II that might help shed some light. :thumb
