I'm another new smugmug user and wow - there is a lot to learn!
I am trying to make a home page that looks like Andy's Demo (See #7 on FAQ). I'm doing okay, but I can't seem to get my site title to work. I created a .png and uploaded it to Smugmug. My next step was to enter the CSS code then change the number of the "photo" but when I click on it, the name of the photo is not similar at all to the one given by Andy's Demo. For example, Andy's is something like 3456789 - o.png and mine is
526184865_W3vtf/Original. I still tried to replace it, but nothing happened. Am I making any sense? Thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

THANK YOU! I'm still missing something though . . .
Here is the what I now know is the URL address for the graphic I want to use: http://hudes7.smugmug.com/gallery/8070249_eSwmL/1/526184865_W3vtf/Original
Is this the URL I would use in your " how to"? Here is my in process site http://hudes7.smugmug.com/. See how the title in the left hand corner is missing?
I would have used the easy customizer - but I really liked your demo, and it didn't seem impossible . . .
THanks for your help, I really appreciate it!

You need to use the url to the actual photo.
Click on the photo in a smugmug-style gallery to select it.
Click Share... Get a link... Pick up the photo URL from there. The photo URLs are in the lower section of that screen, under the heading Direct Photo Links.

Thanks Denise . . . I guess you said the same thing as Andy but I just need to hear it twice. Okay, so I think I found the actual photo/graphic URL . . . it's http://hudes7.smugmug.com/photos/526203471_k9FHB-XL.png but when I replaced andy's demo code - nothing changed on my site. Is there anything else I may be doing wrong?
Just so I'm clear . . . I'm wanting to put the name of my photography site, where it says Andy's Demo site in the upper left hand corner of the home page (see FAQ #7)
Thanks again!!!

That image must be in a gallery that is available for viewing by the public - it can be an unlisted gallery, but it can't be password protected, and external links must be enabled.
Also - you have this in your CSS. Remove it, it is javascript, not CSS and it will cause problems with your CSS:
// fix the pesky pipes
YE.onAvailable("cobrand_footer", function() {this.innerHTML = this.innerHTML.replace(/\||what are feeds\?/gi, '');});

Thanks again Denise - I removed the "stuff" you noted from my CSS. I checked my gallerie to make sure it is public and external links are yes . . . still no luck. Argh - this is frustrating stuff! I've come too far to stop now : )
Thanks for your help though - so appreciate it. (Stopped at your sight - loved your pictures and your blog . . . I want one of those bike trailers!)
Okay . . . anyone else know what I might be doing wrong?

Yes! I figured it out. I had the "no" box checked next to show smugmug header. Duh.
More questions . . . how do I get my title on the same line as Navbar?

I just checked your site, and your banner is showing for me now in both IE7 and Firefox. Your site is looking good!
But are you sure you want your logo to take up that much vertical space? You're taking up a nice chunk of viewable space, and I think in would be just as effective if you rework the image to not have as much free space around it (and then update your code to specify the smaller size).

Ah, we posted at the same time. Your image appears to have extra space above and below the letters (as I noted above, too much space around it). Create a new image without the extra space, adjust your logo height/width in your CSS, and you should be all set.
