When viewing the following URL

http://mtnbiker.smugmug.com/date/2009-03-31/2009-04-30

I don't see any of the videos I've uploaded in that time frame. Is there a way SmugMug can allow us to set a time stamp on the video so it shows up in the recent "photo" feed.

Upload time would be ok, but allowing the user to adjust the time stamp would be better so the video can placed in the correct time sequence with the photos.
I am assuming the dates are taken from either the taken or modified information in the photograph, correct?

sorry this should have gone in the request sub forum...

Hey mtnbiker, what kind of camera are you shooting with? (I can't see with SmugMug down at the moment. :-{)

Canon cameras write a "sidecar" file (.THM or thumbnail) that contain the date/timestamp of when the video was shot. I believe Kodak cameras do this as well.

As I've previously posted it would be nice if SmugMug uploaders recognized these sidecar files and were smart about writing the date/timestamp from them into SmugMug's metadata for the corresponding video.

generally I use a canon sd880 and a lumix dmc-lx3. I get a thumbnail from each camera and would love if that could be used...would be perfect.

Hey Mtnbiker -- just for reference, what's the suffix (.THM, .JPG, etc.) for the thumbnail files from the Lumix?

I wonder if Nikons have anything similar.

John,

Changing the Photo Timeline 'show by' field from 'date taken' to 'date uploaded' displays the videos.
