Lets start with a 900 year old fort. also called the "Sonar Kila" or Golden fort, its one of the oldest "living" forts in the world. by living fort I mean people still have houses inside the fort. And you thought your 10 year old apartment has grown old :D

Again, thanks so much for taking us on this journey with you! Stunning views and I love the night shots, of course. I'm very surprised more people haven't left comments for you! :thumb

I really like the night shots. The one with the lights on in the interior of the vehicle is different! What a place to see!

The place is Jaisalmer, a small town in the Thar desert.
Sand dunes start around 50kms from the town.
This place sees much more foreign tourist than domestic, esp travellers from Europe. Infact many local hotels have one or two people who speak french, spanish, german and even korean to attract foreign tourists.
Since a nice room costs less than 50$, and ditto for the desert safari, it makes for a very cheap vacation since airfares from Europe are not very high.
