As promised, a follow to the Fish thread.
Here's my bad one from this week. I rode by at sunset and saw long corn and a romantic dilapidated shack. The corn had great shadows. This is reduced in size and rotated, otherwise untouched. What's wrong with it?

And although only 1 shot should be critiqued, I feel like I missed a golden (pardon the pun) opportunity, so here's another shot that's not working. (Could also be part of the Photo tips thread, showing the same scene using horixzontal and vertical framing.)

Here's one that demonstrates depth of field (but is by no means a
good picture). This picture would have been better if the subject, the building, were more prominent.

Whoops. Forgot. What I did was first focus on the building, holding focus,
I moved the camera and took the picture.

Thanks, that's my opinion too. I walked into the cornfield to avoid the unsightly left side of the field that was ruining the shot. But the corn was rather high. I thought I should shoot through it to frame the shot. That didn't work. I should have held the camera high, a little above the corn. If I had, the corn would have become a foreground carpet leading to the shack.
At least, that's what I think. Also, there's no blue or green in the shot.
