Red flowers of some kind...

Does annyone know what kind'a red flowers these are? They're in front of the house, but I dunno all the flowers in the world...lol It's not near as sharp as it is on my photo. I thought it would be just as sharp online. But anyway, I'm just'a beginner. I hope it looks good on here to others.:): And I didn't edit it yet.

The shot looks pretty good especially when you consider its straight out of the camera. The lighting on the shot looks pretty harsh so I'm guessing you were shooting in the early afternoon or late morning. What limited uscess I've had with flower shots was when I shoot in the early AM or late afternoon when the light is not so strong.

What limited uscess I've had with flower shots was when I shoot in the early AM or late afternoon when the light is not so strong.It's funny though, the 4x6 picture is pretty vivid, but this online picture of it is like you say...harsh. It was taken between one or two pm on a bright-warm day. And for some reason, the silly flash flips up and fires even when it's bright out. Last night, I used the only photo editor I have right now, (Kodak's EasyShare). It doesn't do a thing to make it look any better. Not these Nikon shots anyway.:rolleyes
