Now I have to really practice shooting macro. Well, here are some of my first shots with the lens:

Found this little guy blown off a tree and hanging on by a thread of silk. I put him on a stick and took some pics. It was a bit windy so a couple shots are a bit shaken.

Some missed focus shots and some with motion blur - lots of practice to come :)

Congratulations on your new lens Silversx80.
You'll get better at getting your subject in focus with more practise.

Remember to focus on the eyes :thumb doing good :thumb .... Skippy :D

Thanks for the words of encouragement. This shallow DOF thing is tough, but I love a challenge. I can see this being the main lens on my camera.
