That's a nice shot. I like it. The B&W works well here for me. I would be interested in seeing the color version because I think the fruit in and in front of the window would stand out.

http://www.pbase.com/kent/image/43878174.jpgI think this shot is reminiscent of the sort of photo journalism that was vogue in the '40s from some of the more notable photographers of that era. Great job for capturing a mood in that genre (one I especially love!).

Cheers!

Okay, here it is. When I first viewed this shot, it reminded me of old photos I'd seen in magazines like Look and Life, (does anyone other than me remember those) so I went with the B&W version.

Oh man, I just don't know. :scratch I'm not sure I could pick one if I had to. :rofl I like it both ways. Maybe if the B&W was a little more contrasty I'd go that way. I'm not sure that style would fit with the Look/Life magazine style you mentioned though. One cool thing is that the guy walking by with the blue jeans and black shirt could be from just about any era in the past 70 years that you want to imagine him from.

Any way you look at it, I like the composition here. Cool stuff. In the end it's your shot - the burden of choice is on your shoulders. :wink

Because of its nostalgic flavor, I think I prefer the B&W, which is nicely done.

:agree Great either way but the B&W does it for me.
